There are quiet a few
differences between the 2001 US 'Hybrid' version and the
original French
anamorphic release
of Manhunter. Together with some frame
grabs
we will discover some of these differences. Some are changes are minor, while
others
are quite surprising.
The first is an easy one to miss
and very minor, but it's there so it gets a mention.
The original theatrical version is in the top left. The Hybrid version is
the top right
and to the immediate left is the frame from the Director's Preferred
edition. As well
as changing the the text colour to white, the remainder of the credits are
displayed
over the first scene on the beach.
