Way back in 1988, three young men came to an important decision:
No! They were not going to learn any geology that day, they were in fact going to rap an acapella version of Queen’s ‘Somebody to Love.’
A few hours later and a fourth young man became involved; pseudonyms were given, a band name created and a publicity posted had been drawn up.
The Sons Of Yellowbeard had been conceived.
We were young, anarchic (and ignorant) so you’ll have to excuse the names.
Cardinal Muriel Grizzly Vole Strangler - on the fridge
Death Equals MC2 - on the mic
Rape The Human Beatbox – on drums (‘cos his throat’s sore)
Anthrax – he makes you scratch

As it happened the Cardinal was on vocals, MC2 played a few chords on guitar (mainly "Come On Everybody"), Rape did indeed play drums (when he could keep a hold of the drumsticks), and Anthrax played the turntable of the stereo his sister bought him for Christmas.
As time went on, MC2 became MC Fluff (and learned some more chords) and Anthrax got a cheap bass guitar off his sister’s boyfriend and mucked about on that.

The result was rock and roll history.
Their sound was dubbed ‘punk rap’ (or was it ‘pun krap’) and their discography is non-existent.
They did, however, record a few songs in MC Fluff’s garage; Anthrax’s dad’s livingroom, Rape’s parent’s bathroom and second bedroom, and Furnace Green Community Centre.

This page has been set up purely for the contributors of that magical musical era. You can find posters and lyrics (to songs recorded and a few rarities that were not).

This site could possibly be deemed as offensive; if not then definitely extremely juvenile so apologies if anyone is upset.
