709 Out-of-bounds area
An out-of-bounds area, see also symbol 528, is drawn with vertical stripes. A bounding line may be drawn if there is no natural boundary, as follows:
- a solid line indicates that the boundary is marked continuously (tapes, etc.) on the ground,
- a dashed line indicates intermittent marking on the ground,
- no line indicates no marking on the ground.
Colour: purple
Line size 0.25mm, line spacing 0.6mm
This symbol is oriented to north.
As ISOM 2000 but line width was 0.125mm
ISOM number changed from 607 to 709.
Defined as area symbol 709.0; this can be drawn with any drawing tool.
Take advantage of editing straight lines into bézier lines where appropriate. Also edge match with care using the control key when drawing to match edges.
This is a rotatable symbol, the pattern of the fill can be rotated with the direction tool and will rotate with the map if the include symbols box is checked when the map is turned. This is not the same as using the rotation tool which turns the whole object, but not the fill pattern.
The ISOM lays down the permissible combination of screens.
There is no mention of this symbol in the combination section of the specifications. This symbol may be combined with any other suitable screen.
