Dance Dance Revolution

Dance Stage Euromix  (Arcade Version)

Introduction

This is the arcade version of dance stage euromix. As far as i know this was released in 2000. I am now going to tell you my tips for beginners. Soon ill add links to see the steps of the song.

Getting Ready

-Wear loose clothes

-Make sure you have a lot of drink available

-I dont know about this but, it might help not to eat right before playing it.

Newbies

Start off choosing one foot beginner songs, and stand in the middle. As the steps reach the grey arrows, press the arrow shown on the screen about to reach the grey arrows on the floor. It will now say one of 5 things:

-Perfect! You got the step exactly right!

-Great! You got the step almost exactly right, don't worry about these, they are still good.

-Good!  If you get these, its probably because you not going with the beat.

-Almost!  This is pretty bad, wait, then start dancing again after a gap in the arrows.

-Boo! Same as above, apart from you didn't even attempt to get the step, or you were very far out of getting the step.

If you get a certain amount of Perfects and Greats together, then it will say Combo underneath, and say the number of times you got Perfects and Greats.

After the song has finished a screen will come up, it will say:

FAILED- this means you failed and will not go on to choose another song. It will also say how many points you got and say you got an E ranking, before saying game over.

PASSED- this means you have completed the song, and will go on to choose another song (unless you have already played it 3 or 5 times (depending on the settings of the machine) then it will will go to the game over screen). It also tells you your ranking (D, C, B, A, AAA) and your points.

Well done! you have mastered beginner songs! (No, Really).

Standard Song Guide

This is a song guide for all the songs on standard (I will add Difficult and Expert at a later date). When i say 2 feet, or 4 feet, i am referring to the difficulty of the song.

Song Name: This is the songs name (Well duh)

Difficulty: This is the difficulty, measured in feet of one to nine

Speed: ill rate the speed of the song here  Technique: how hard the steps are  Stamina: how much stamina you will need (in my opinion).

Tips: tips for the song

Okay Here Are The Songs!!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Song Name: End of the Century

Difficulty: 4 Feet

Speed: 6/10  Technique: 5/10   Stamina: 7/10

Tips: You will need lots of stamina for this, (since it is almost a constant stream of arrows), I recommend mastering songs such as "I will survive" first.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Song Name: I Will Survive

Difficulty: 2 Feet

Speed: 2/10  Technique: 3/10   Stamina: 1/10

Tips: This should be the first standard song you do, this or boyzone.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Song Name: Afronova

Difficulty: 5 Feet

Speed: 8/10  Technique: 8/10   Stamina: 8/10

Tips: This will tire you out FAST. Bewere of the part with alternating left and right steps, it could put you off balance. I recommend mastering end of the century first.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Song Name: Dead End

Difficulty: 5 Feet

Speed: 8/10  Technique: 9/10   Stamina: 8/10

Tips: No real tips for this one. Even i have trouble sometimes on this. It has very annoying untimed steps which makes it hard to follow the song along with the beat. Master afronova first.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Song Name: Paranoia

Difficulty: 6 Feet

Speed: 9/10 ? Technique: 9/10   Stamina: 9/10

Tips: According to most DDR players, if you can beat this song, you will go far. This is hardest standard song on dance stage euromix. You can try this one without help. Master all the other standard songs before this.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Song Name: Dynamite Rave

Difficulty: 5 Feet

Speed: 5/10  Technique: 8/10   Stamina: 6/10

Tips: This one is over rated, i did this before i could do end of the century!. However, it does contain some annoying parts, such as diagonal jumps ( e.g up and left at the same time). I recommend doing this as your first five-footer.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Song Name: Captain Jack

Difficulty: 4 Feet

Speed: 7/10  Technique: 8/10   Stamina: 9/10

Tips: My favorite song from the arcade version, also very underrated. I dont know if its me, but this seems to use loads of stamina, since there is hardly any stops in the song. I recommend mastering end of the century first.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Song Name: Stomp to my Beat

Difficulty: 4 Feet

Speed: 5/10?  Technique: 8/10   Stamina: 5/10

Tips: Another underrated song, also happens to be my sisters favorite song. Has a lot of quarter beats (steps which are closer together), which makes it a lot harder. Master "Sway" First.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Song Name: Sway (Is that the proper name?)

Difficulty: 3 Feet

Speed: 3/10  Technique: 4/10   Stamina: 4/10

Tips: A good early song to master. Good for freestyling, theres a good part at the end where you can impress people by spinning around.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Song Name: TubThumping'

Difficulty: 3 Feet

Speed: 2/10  Technique: 5/10   Stamina: 3/10

Tips: Should be you first standard song after i will survive or boyzone. Simple and slow, however somehow i managed to only get a C on it, i guess i was just too used to doing fast songs.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Song Name: Dam Dariam

Difficulty: 4 Feet

Speed: 5/10  Technique: 5/10   Stamina: 4/10

Tips: Pretty easy, however be careful when switching from right-left-right-left to right-down-right-down (or any other alternating diagonals), its annoying if you dont time it right. Master sway first.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Song Name: Make a Jam!

Difficulty: 3 Feet

Speed: 4/10  Technique: 6/10   Stamina: 3/10

Tips: I hate this song, it has lots of up-down-up-down in it which makes it very annoying. Master Kung Fu Fighting first.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Song Name: Do It All Night

Difficulty: 4 Feet?

Speed: 5/10  Technique: 3/10   Stamina: 4/10

Tips: Seems to be a popular beginners song, no real tips as i havnt done this song for ages.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Song Name: Kung Fu Fighting

Difficulty: 2 Feet

Speed: 3/10  Technique: 2/10   Stamina: 2/10

Tips: Should be you 3rd song you try after boyzone and i will survive.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Song Name: Feel So Good (Boyzone)

Difficulty: 2 Feet

Speed: 1/10  Technique: 1/10   Stamina: 1/10

Tips: I HATE this song. Its too easy and very slow, you should only have to do this song once before moving on.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thats the end of the song guide at the moment, ill add more soon.

Cheats

Since this is an arcade machine, theres no real cheats, but however there is a trick to get extra modes:

-On the title screen, after putting your money in, Hold down the left and right buttons.

-Then while still holding them down press the green middle button.

-You will now have some extra modes to choose from, including doubles mode, even if you didnt put the full amount of money for 2 players in!

Freestyling

Freestyling in DDR is when you not only use your feet to play, but use other parts of your body as well. You could headbutt the arrows mid-song, jump down with your hands, knee drop etc. Try it out on a song you can do well, it certainly amazes everyone else who is watching.

About Me As A DDR Player

Skill level: I can do 7 foot songs, sometimes 8.

Fave Songs: Captain Jack, End of the Century.

Signature Moves: at the start of a song, i run back from the machine, jump over the bars and start the song. In Mid-Song, when there is a break in the song i put my knees over the bars and do some of the song upside upside down, before flipping back over.
