Just after the break Villa were ahead, Thomas Hitzlsperger giving them the lead, before Hendrie made it 3-1. Crespo grabbed a goal back, but it was to little, to late for Chelsea, who are now certainly out of the title race.

Newcastle 0-0 Arsenal (sun) Newcastle's strong defence prevented Arsenal from getting a goal, and grabbed them a vital point in a weekend where Liverpool failed to pick up a single point from either of their two games.
