Arsenal 4-2 Liverpool (Friday)

Arsenal fought back from 2-1 down to win 4-2 at Highbury after a nervous first 45. Liverpool took the lead early on when Gerrard headed the ball back across the box for Hyypia who headed home. Arsenal then equalised with a breakaway goal from Henry but Liverpool grabbed back the lead just before the break with Micheal Owen slotting in after a suberb pass from Steven Gerrard. That only fired Arsenal up though and in the second half the Gunners dominated, Pires made the scores level within minutes of the restart then 70 seconds later Henry weved his way through the Liverpool defence to make it 3-2. Henry the made the game safe with a lucky rebound cannoning off him into the net.

Birmingham 1-2 Man.Utd

Birmingham City couldn't quite make sure of an upset at St.Andrews after taking the lead into half time curtesy of a suberb free kick from Martin Grainger. United thought back though with a headed goal from sub Ronaldo and Luis Saha won the game after good play from Giggs.

Blackburn 1-2 Leeds

Leeds made it 2 wins in 2 games as they beat fellow strugglers Blackburn at Ewood Park. Caldwell scored the first with only 2 minutes gone following sloppy marking. The game was scrappy as you would expect from a bottom of the table clash but Viduka made sure all 3 points went back to Elland Road with a goal on 89 despite Short's late header.

A late goal from Kevin Davied made sure Bolton didn't slump to yet another defeat after Hendrie had put the away side on top with a neat lob. The first half saw Villa take the lead with a header from 6 foot Crouch which was cancelled out in the start of the second with a smashing shot from Pedersen.

Charlton's poor run of form continued as Pompey nicked a point from The Valley. The Addicks took the lead on 8 when Bartlett looked to have set up an easy game for Charlton but a host of missed chances by the home side left space at the back for Yakubu to nick in with a equaliser midway through the second half.

Leicester couldn't find an elusive win to lift them out of the bottom 3 despite some good play. The two goals came in the second half both from promising young player Collins John on 68 and 89 respectfully.

Man.City couldn't lift themselves out of the drop area after a spirited display from Bottom side Wolves. Kennedy and Cort had given the away side the lead but City fought back with goals from Anelka and Sibierki before the break. Henri Camara looked to have won the match for Wolves on 78 but a late strike from Wight-PPhillips levelled the scores.
