Emergency & Minor Accident Unit
The
Westmorland General Hospital is a small, modern hospital with a
friendly reputation, located in the historic market town of Kendal,
at the edge of the Lake District.
The Emergency
& Minor Accident Unit is a small department supported by experienced
Staff Grade doctors and a Consultant. A Nurse Practitioner service
has been firmly established and as a result we have developed a
modern and successful approach to the delivery of Emergency Care.
More recently we have enjoyed working closely with Primary Care
services to support Out of Hours Care.
To support and
develop the service further we would like to recruit the following
staff to join us,
Team Leaders / Nurse Practitioners
(F grade equivalent)
We are
looking for experienced and competent nurses from an Emergency Care
background. Recent experience as a Nurse
Practitioner is desirable, however full training and support will be
given to successful applicants, who should be willing to undertake
the Nurse Practitioner Course. The successful applicant will be an
ALS provider or be prepared to complete the course once in post.
Staff Nurses
(D/E grade equivalent)
We are looking for enthusiastic and
highly motivated nurses to join our team. Full training & support
according to need will be given. Excellent post registration study
is supported through strong links with St. Martins College.
