The Doctor's room has an X-Ray link with the minor injuries unit at the Westmorland General hospital at Kendal 23 miles away. There is a departmental library and CD-ROM library available. There are two workstations and one has access via the NHS net to TOXBASE (Poisons information service). Information on any drug can be printed out and the hard copy sent with the patient to the ward.
