Dr R.McGlone - Clinical Director
FRCP FCEM FRCS A&E
Dr.McGlone was the first A&E consultant appointed
to this department in 1990. He qualified in 1980 from the Royal
London Hospital. He was trained in general medicine before choosing
A&E as a career. His specialist training was on rotations in
Nottingham, Derby and Yorkshire before being appointed as a Consultant
in this department.
Special Interests include pain relief in children and information
technology. He is a course director for the ATLS course based at
The Royal Lancaster Infirmary and an examiner for the MCEM exam..

Dr S Schneidman MD, FACEP FCEM
A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. Schneidman completed
his studies in 1979 at the University of Arizona and Ensenada, Mexico.
He began to practice Emergency Medicine in Los Angeles, and then
moved to Seattle. After living in the Seattle area for 20 years,
he and his family moved back to Philadelphia, where he was recruited
by the NHS. He and his wife relocated to the Lancaster area in February
of 2005. Dr. Schneidman is a Fellow of the American College
of Emergency Physicians, a private pilot and musician.

Dr D.Wood MBChB, B.Pharm., M.Phil EM, DA
(SA), DipPEC (SA)
Honorary lecturer at University of Cape Town's newly established
Emergency Medicine faculty. Qualified at University of Witwatersrand
1999. Qualified as a pharmacist in 1988 at Rhodes University. Began
to practice emergency medicine in Kwazulu Natal and moved to Cape
Town in 2002 working in Milnerton Mediclinic private emergency unit
and the Red Cross Air Mercy Service where he is an honorary medical
consultant. Special interests include aeromedicine and emergency
pharmacology. He is on the Specialist Register for Emergency Medicine
in South Africa.

Dr.A.Webster MBChB, BMSc, MRCP, MSc, FCEM
Graduating from Dundee University in 1996, Andrew moved to the
West Yorkshire region and obtained his MRCP in 1999. His registrar training
took him to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge for one year as a
locum registrar, finally obtaining a substantive registrar post in the
North Trent Deanery in 2001. During his time there he obtained a Masters
in Health Sciences Research and Technology assessment. After passing
the fellowship exam in November 2004, Andrew completed his final year
in Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital Perth Western Australia, before taking
up his Consultant post in January 2006. Andrew is a keen road and fell
runner and an avid Liverpool FC supporter.
