Vinden Families in the USA

The IGI includes an entry for William Vinden, said to have been born about 1821 at Clarksburg, Harrison, West Virginia. The entry states that he was the second husband of Ellen Custer (1825-1893). Her first husband was Jefferson Franklin Pierce.
The IGI includes an entry for the marriage of Nell Vinden to Charles Mills Sapp on 12 Nov 1885 at Princeton, Bureau, Illinois. Other indexes refer to Vinden marriages in Iowa and Maryland.
Several Vindin references occur in passenger lists from Ireland to USA.
A member of the Vinden family is currently an Assistant Professor at a university in Massachusetts.
