Norwich City coat-of-arms

One of the earliest known coat-of-arms for the city of Norwich appears on one of the side walls of St. Andrew's Church. It shows a castle with a lion underneath. However, the castle motif bears no resemblance to the modern castle. The stonework bearing the arms is older than the walls of the church into which it has been placed.
