The play is about the gullible and incompetent Lord Arthur Savile and his equally dim but nice fiancée. He finds that he must commit a murder, and decides to do it before he gets married. He fails totally, even with the help of a loony anarchist and a sensible butler. Set in the 1890's, it is gentle if zany humour.
