The Medersa Bou Inania was built between 1350 and 1357 buy the merenid sultan Bou Inan. The carved woodwork is magnificent and is one of the few functioning religious buildings non-Muslims can enter.
We were treated to readings of some of the poems of Jallaladin Rumi.....not that I understood a word as it was in Arabic - but it sounded goprgeous. The beautiful mosaics and carvings were as hypnotic as the alien verse.
