brighpic12.jpgThe high level platform, with the stairs leading up from the ticket office below.

Everything here is scratchbuilt from plastic and metal, apart from the fencing and lampposts.

The steps were particularly difficult to make. I drew the side and end elevations to scale using a CAD package, and then assembled as many individual components as possible, flat on the drawing, before finally fixing all the bits together as a 3 dimensional structure.

The lattice work was done in the same way. I blue-tacked the various bits (the uprights, the braces etc) to a scale drawing and then soldered all together in one go.

I have to more-or-less replicate this structure for the platform on the other side of the bridge, so I'll take some photos to show the method.

The ticket office has a little bit of detail inside, plus interior lights.
