| Burpham was started around 1990, and was intended to be a larger
version of West Chiltington - a double track through station based on the LBSC in rural
West Sussex, at around 1910. Work progressed for a while and virtually all the track was
laid and wired up. A little progress was made on scenery and buildings. The layout was
even exhibited in a working form at Brighton Model World, in 1993.
However the group decided to start work on Brighton
Road in '93, so work on Burpham stopped. Due to a recent house move I no longer have room
to store the layout, and have consequently broken up the layout and sold it.
There is only one
known photograph of the complete layout, taken when it was exhibited at Brighton.
