Celebrations in September this year will mark 10 years since the Millennium Commission awarded Sustrans £42.5 million to develop the National Cycle Network (NCN). Since 1995 the network has grown each year and will exceed the 10,000 miles planned to be open by 2005. A number of events are in the pipeline - further information available from Sustrans.

If you visit the Sustrans website you will find it has been redesigned to bring it up to date, make it more accessible and easier to use. It now contains improved mapping and even more information - confirming its position as one of the leading cycling resources on the internet.
