SANDY KAYE Biography/Resume:
For 5 years she was the Press and Artistes Relations Director for the much acclaimed Marlborough Country and Western Festival held every Easter weekend at Wembley Arena, each year approx. 160 top artistes performed over the 3 day festival. Sandy found herself working regularly with renowned artistes such as Dolly Parton, Carl Perkins, Hank Williams, Tammy Wynette. Boxcar Willie. Loretta Lynn, Willy Nelson, Don McLean, Ricky Nelson, just a few of the famous names she can now call friends. Being South African born, it was a natural progression for Mervyn
Conn Concert Promotions to send her out to S.A. in order to establish
the First Country and Western Festival that South Africa had ever
hosted. Sandy's experience also took her in to the promotional side of
the film industry where she was involved in successfully promoting
such as Mame and Towering Inferno. Alongside her Music PR and Management,
she was also the Showbiz Consultant PR for - The Royal Garden Hotel
- specialising in Celebrity Parties and generally dealing with VIP's
visiting this prestigious She can list in her achievement the distinction of obtaining an
exclusive licence to film in Scotland Yard's Museum of Crime, affectionately
known as "THE BLACK MUSEUM" a drama documentary was made
in conjunction with Central TV which was then networked - followed
by two further documentaries on the same subject which were all
sold worldwide by CTE. She also was producer of a nine part TV series teaching the game
of BRIDGE . Today she co-hosts the only thrice-weekly English speaking
TV chat show in Marbella, Southern Spain. She's also the main presenter
for the first live magazine programme on Spain's English Television.
Over the past 5 years she has been the Artistes Relations Director
for International Concert Promotions - the main concert promotions
company in Southern Spain - liasing and working with artistes -
Gloria Gaynor, Frank Sinatra Jnr., Woody Herman Big Band, George
Benson, Kool and the Gang, Paco de Lucia, Gypsy Kings. Also worked
closely with both the Promotors - I Interests include: Sailing, Theatre, Films, Reading, a keen interest
in current affairs and certainly cooking. Basically, being a P.R. for quite some years, I'm known to be a "people's person" - and am very capable of working on my own - good at self motivation yet also very much a "team player" - (you have to be when you work with the biggest Police Force in the United Kingdom) Finally, I'm single and free to travel at any time.
