Firstly let me say how great your site is and I've
definitely bookmarked it.
I'm am researching the Whiter Family (on my husbands side of the family) and I
was wondering if you could be of any assistance.
The information I have as follows:-
Louisa (Maria) Whiter born approx 5 November 1875 in Bethnal Green. The
dob is only approx as living relatives are unsure of an exact date.
However Louisa had a sister Adelaide and Adelaide emigrated to British Columbia
in Canada.
Exact information I have obtained from the 1901 census, which I know to be
correct is as follows:-
Louisa married Arthur Wyatt and were living at 10 Fransden Ave, Bethnal Green.
They had two children - Louisa Emily Wyatt and Arthur John Wyatt.
I have drawn a complete blank when it comes to tracing Louisa Whiter, a living
relative believed her mother might had had a maiden name of Gass and there could
be a jewish link somewhere. I'm sure there must be some link with your
Whiters for the East End. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
The ladies involved were called "Poperwell" by their father but were
whiter's.
Have been able to link up the data.
