THE SERIES 3 was the most popular Land-Rover produced at the time. So much so that when Land-Rover announced the new '90' in 1984 and '110' in 1983, there was a great demand for the last Series 3's, and they actually continued production until 1985, two years after the 'new', 'refined',coil-sprung 110 range were available!
