The
Teardrop
All
people of this world shed a tear
Be it for one reason or another
It may be through joy or pain
As a child of god
I thank God for the teardrop
The tear drop of a child
Is shed for its innocence
In a cruel world
Shed for the love of a mother or father
Or for friendship or for hunger
For comfort and loneliness
The anger in a teardrop
The tear drop that is she for the aggressiveness
That lies within each of us
For jealousy, envy and hate
And being able to express ourselves
The fear in a teardrop
This is shed for lost souls
The doubters and the suppressed
The submission in a tear drop
This is shed when we surrender utterly defeated
The giving into something that is greater than ourselves
The cleansing in a teardrop
This is shed for the washing away of our evil thoughts and sins
The joy in a tear drop
This is shed in our joy for others
The expressing of our love
In the touching of a loved one
And in the returning of the sinner into the house of the lord
The Christ in a teardrop
This is shed for our faith
The forgiveness in the love of Christ
The taking of the sins of this world upon himself
In his dying on the cross
In his resurrection and his promise
That all who take up his cross will have everlasting life
So my friends the next time you see a teardrop
Catch the miracle for what it is
See the reason for it before it drops down the cheek
To be lost forever
Feel the loss, the pain
The joy it will bring the person who sheds
For the tear drop is the mirror of the soul
