The album "Jabberwocky" is a musical interpretation of Lewis Carroll's
classic poem from "Alice Through the Looking Glass".
The album has been written by Clive Nolan and Oliver Wakeman,
and follows in the grand tradition of the 70's concept album,
but with a sound that places it firmly in the realms of 90's music.
Fans of progressive music will immediately recognise a complete
fusion of two distinctly different styles of music that draw from
both the rich heritage of Wakeman flamboyancy and wizardry, and
the solid structure of quality songwriting and energetic musicality
that places Nolan in the realms of keyboard greats of recent years.
Three years in the writing, this album is a true collaboration
rather than a collection of musical pieces loosely threaded together
around a theme. From the opening bars of the overture to the final
reverberation of strings, you are left with a sense of completeness
and harmony.
The project is realised with performances from esteemed musicians
of international reknown from the likes of Yes, Magnum, Landmarq,
Pendragon, Threshold, Shadowland and is polished with a narration
by Rick Wakeman throughout.
