Eric, Tawny owl.
Eric came to Owltalks via the wild. When he was a chick he was found asleep on the white line in the middle of a busy road. Thankfully a driver stopped to pick him up, but he then took him home where Eric nearly starved to death.
He was then taken to Holdenby house and given to John.
After 7 years Eric decided that the wild life would be better than captivity and flew off one night. I have seen him on several occasions with a female Tawny owl, and

Gem. Little owl.
Gem was with the Just owls Group, but john had a long relationship with her. Little owls are very nervous birds in the wild and gem, even though she was captive breed, was no exception.
She was the only little owl I know off that would fly in front of a large crowd.
