1978-79  "Idle Idols"  played crucial venues like
Disco D'Ora, Zwines, The State Theatre, Classic Cinema, The Globe, The Windsor Tavern, The Hard Rock Café and numerous other suburban hell-holes and concert halls around Auckland.

They  toured with the "New Wave Special" and featured in  television shows "Radio With Pictures" "Eye Witness".

Other bands Idle Idols shared a stage with were, The Scavengers (later Marching Girls and Dead Can Dance), Suburban Reptiles, The Enemy (Chris Knox), The Masochists, Sheerlux, Atrocities, Proud Scum, Rooter and many others.
