CLEVELAND BAYS AT BEAMISH

BEAMISH CLEVELAND BAYS

BROOD MARES

Braithwaite Clio (2086)

Born 1992, out of Heslerton Lucerne (1799) by Oaten Mainbrace (2240).
Clio has been at Beamish Museum since she was weaned, has a lovely nature, which is present in all her offspring. She has been broken to ride but is only ridden recreationally.
Clio is a good sort of mare having won best of breed the last season that we showed her.
Clio is breeding well, she is in foal for the fourth season and is carrying a foal by Traquair Jason (2212) she is due to foal in May.

Stainmore Briar Rose (2100)

Born 1992, out of Osberton Rachel (1894) by Mulgrave Royal (2114).
Rose came to Beamish Museum in the spring of 1993 and soon made friends with Clio, a kind natured mare, producing strong bold offspring. Rose has also been broken to ride but again is only ridden recreationally.
Rose is another good mare, very different to Clio, but has also won best of breed against a strong class.
Rose is also breeding well, and is carrying her fourth foal.
We decided to give her a year off last year because of the length of time she carries her foals, she has been averaging about a year, and took the opportunity to send her over to Barbara Martindales, we are now expecting a foal towards the end of May, the sire is Southbrook Warlord (2375).
