Pennthorpe School's Chapel
A caring Christian tradition
A strong Christian ethos forms the
cornerstone of Pennthorpe's day-to-day life. Our frequent
Chapel services form a focal point for school life and through
drama, stories and role play, pupils learn the fundamental
personal values that will remain with them for life.
Chapel - dedicated to St Francis of Assisi
The Chapel and its services form a central part of life at Pennthorpe.
The Junior School meet in Chapel daily and Senior School four times a week, in addition to our main fortnightly service on Fridays when there are often visiting preachers. Parents are warmly invited to join us in these informal acts of worship.
Choirs
There are three choirs ~ Junior, Girls and Boys ~ which lead the services and competition is fierce to get into them and the standard high.
The two Senior School choirs combine for many events and Services are sung at local Parish Churches and Cathedrals as well as at Nursing Homes.
Recent successes have seen the joint girls and boys choir win a local Music Festival.
