Who are we?

The school opened in 1930 and moved to its present site in 1948. It has about 14 acres of land, including a large sports field. Pennthorpe is an I.A.P.S., co-educational, day Preparatory School accredited by the Independent Schools Joint Council with 285 pupils between the ages of 2 and 13.  It is divided into three sections:

• the Kindergarten for the 2 to 4 year olds
• the Junior School for the 4 to 7's
• and the Senior School for the 8 to 13's.

Aims

• Our aim at Pennthorpe is to have the best, most enthusiastic staff who can provide an excellent education for your children and the opportunities for each child to develop a positive attitude to life and to work.
