The Campaign

Aims of the Campaign

The aims of the campaign are first of all to save this unique building from destruction. There are plenty of other sites in the area on which to build housing which do not involve the destruction of an important building.

We would like to see the pool restored to its former glory, incorporating sympathetic restoration with the concepts of sustainability.

We believe the pool should be run as a community facility providing, in addition to the pool itself, a gymnasium and complementary health facilities.

We produced an outline business plan at the start of the campaign. It needs some rework, but it gives an idea of how the pool could be run successfully.
