THE FAMILY
When I first started to research our family history I did not realise
how big a task I had taken on. In the three years since I started I have
managed to get back to the early 16th. Century in some of the family
lines. I have found that there are a number of "Principle Families" which
have formed the roots which make up our family tree. These "Root Families"
are listed below. On the way I have gained many new friends and more particularly
I have located new and at the time unknown family members in Canada, Australia and
the United states

The HAWKINS family that I have been researching appear to originate in The Cambridgeshire/Norfolk
area of England in a place called Upwell.
