JANE BATH ALISON WEEKS

Jane Bath Alison WEEKS was born on 13th. September 1868 at Bow in North Devon, the daughter of Elizabeth WEEKS. (Source :- Birth Certificate of Jane Bath Alison WEEKS, entry number 382 in the Register of Births for the Registration District of Crediton, Devon.)

The 1871 Census shows Jane Bath Alison WEEKS living with her maternal grandparents at Bow in Devon, she is aged 2 years and is shown as their niece.

The 1881 Census shows her living with her mother Elizabeth WEEKS at 6 Lorne Avenue, Sculcoates, Kingston upon Hull.

To date no records have been located after the 1881 census, though it is known that she went off to train as a nurse. It is believed that after training she went to work for the railways in Scotland as a matron. It was here that she met her future husband a doctor.

On 23rd. September 1903 she married George Glossop Hamilton MOORHEAD an Ulsterman and doctor.

A photograph taken at about this time, shows her with her mother Elizabeth WEEKS now married to Anthony HAWKINS, and her step brother Anthony Thomas Cecil HAWKINS

She moved to THE PRIORY at Weston Zoyland in Somerset where her husband became the doctor and she as his wife carried out 'good works'.

She died in 1936 at Weston Zoyland and was buried in the local cemetery
