City Pastors Prayer Breakfast Report - Wednesday 24 January 2007Present: Carol Bailey, Dennis Bakka, Jonathan Baker, Claudio Coquet, Tim Edworthy, Amy Fry, Keith Howarth, Gill Jessop, Paul Larcombe, Chris Moreton, Russ Parkes, Lars Pettersen, John Price, Dave Smith, Graham Timson, Sharon Walker, David Whitlock, Pauline Wills Russ Parkes said that he had recently been inspired by reading the Gospel passages, but also commenting on them whilst they were being read. He read Luke 19:1-10 in this style; the account of Zacchaeus the Tax Collector. Russ was not sure if he was inspired, or being reminded about the 31 January deadline for his tax return! He wondered if Zacchaeus had, what would appear to be, one of the most mentioned professions in the New Testament, namely tax collecting. Luke 19:5 'When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, "Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today." Corporate prayer flowed from these five insights , followed by prayer for each other, in two's. |
Future meeting dates:
