City Pastors Prayer Breakfast Report - Wednesday 31 October 2007

Present:- David Weeks, Clive Deverell, Chris Morton, Pauline Wills, Gill Jessop. Tim Ebworthy, Dave Whitlock, Paul and Liz Larcombe, Russ Parkes, Lars Petterson, Andy Lanning, Carol Bailey, Keith Howarth, Denis Baka, Claudio Coquet

Tim led the meeting from Jeremiah 29. the word of command to the exiles and to us was to "get on with the work" - to seek the peace and prosperity of the city in which you are placed. We were encouraged with the words of comfort that God knows the plans he has made for us.

We prayed in two's, grieving over the things in the city which cause us pain.

Tim then referred us to Psalm 126 when the exiles returned with songs of joy carrying sheaves. We again prayed in two's praising God for what he was doing.

It was Paul's last meeting before moving to Weston-Super-Mare so the group expressed their thanks for all that he had done for the city and prayed God's blessings on him and Liz.

Future meeting dates:

Wednesday 14 November
Wednesday 28 November
Wednesday 12 December

These are all at the Peterborough Salvation Army in Bourges Boulevard, New England.
