City Pastors Prayer Breakfast Report - Wednesday 7 February 2007

Present: Carol Bailey, Dennis Bakka, Tim Edworthy, Rod Elston, Keith Howarth, Andy Lanning, Paul Larcombe, Russ Parkes, Lars Pettersen, John Price, Dave Smith, Graham Timson, Pauline Wills

Graham Timson led the prayer; he spoke about the recent meeting for Hope 2008, which went very well and included representatives from many City churches. Graham said that there was a great sense of the Spirit there - a great sense of blessing in working together for the City.

Graham read from Romans 15:1-13

v1: 'We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves.'

v5 'May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had,'

v7 'Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.'

These verses encouraged praise and three songs were sung. Prayer was made for: a foundation of prayer for 2007 and for Hope 2008; for Hope 2008 in the City; for a harvest in 2007 and for breakthrough.

Each person prayed for the person on either side of them - for blessing and boldness. Also prayed for Paul Larcombe and for John Price.

Future meeting dates:

Wednesday 14 November
Wednesday 28 November
Wednesday 12 December

These are all at the Peterborough Salvation Army in Bourges Boulevard, New England.
