Victoria was majorly disappointed when her single, Out Of Your Mind failed to reach the no. 1 spot, but there's no need to be. All the other Spice Girls (And Geri) have released solo singles and the only one who managed to get to no.1 with her debut solo single is Mel B (Not even Geri). Mel C didn't get no.1 with her first solo effort, but has had two number ones since!

Another pattern I've noticed is that all the first solo singles have been duets with another band or singer, for example, Emma and Tin Tin Out, Mel C and Bryan Adams, Mel B and Misy Elliot and Victoria with Truesteppers. They obviously all agree that it's a good way to begin a solo career.

Mel C quotes Madonna as the person she would most like to work with. She's obviously a huge fan, because Mel's video for I Turn To You looks vaguely familiar - could it possibly be copying Madonna's video for Ray Of light? Hmmm…

The current Spice Girls rumour is that the girls will not release any new singles in 2001, although some people say the next single is called Weekend Love, but this is uncomfirmed.
