The business was founded with the aim of manufacturing special purpose built pumps for the chemical industry to our own designs and constructed from a variety of exotic materials. This policy was successful and still accounts for a high percentage of the company's business, although latterly the emphasis has moved to units for the petro chemical market , where our abilities in "leading edge" design attract higher premiums than the intrinsic value of the materials of construction.

Almost incidental to the above has been the development of a standard range of air powered diaphragm pumps in plastics materials – indeed we are the only U.K. manufacturer of conventional P.T.F.E. diaphragm pumps, all others currently on the market being imported.

Naturally our many years in business have resulted in approximately 1000 pumps being made which require back-up service in terms of spare parts supply, and overhaul/repair facilities. This activity is a major element of our output, having been expanded to include a general pump repair service.

In line with our philosophy of being here to help our customers overcome pumping problems we also have a thriving "sideline" in the supply of reconditioned pumps.

Our customer base includes all the major chemical and petrochemical industry blue chip companies such as I.C.I., B.N.F.L., British Steel, Shell, Conoco, B.P., Esso, Texaco, A.E.A. etc., together with links with most of the major pump manufacturers where we are often commissioned for design projects or supply of units which are not available from standard ranges.
