A very rare Clarice
Cliff Conical jug in the extremely collectable House and
Bridge pattern with the exceedingly rare brown Latona background
colour. This is the only example of this pattern,
background and shape combination we have come across in
eighteen years of collecting Clarice Cliff.
The pitcher, or jug, is 7inches (17.5cm) tall and is free
from repair. It has no cracks or hairlines. There is a tiny,
tiny flea bite on the handle, which is pictured. Was it
part of the imperfections coming out of the factory? ...anyone's
guess... but it is very tiny.
The Clarice Cliff mark is present on the bottom, as well
as three orange dots in a triangle pattern. There is also
a black mark of some kind. The pitcher was designed
and painted by hand, so there are some tiny smudge marks
here and there. It was in the hands of the previous
owner for eighteen years.
