Race Number Enclosed is your race number, which must not be folded, cut or mutilated in any way. If you have a medical condition which may affect your taking part in the event please write any details on the reverse of your number , then put a red cross on the front top right corner. If you have done so, the information is confidential known only to you and will only be used to ensure your correct medical treatment should an incident occur.
Car Parking Competitor car parking is by the Ice House on the left of the main drive used as the entrance for coaches. Please follow the signs for Holkham Coaches and use this entrance.
Emergency Evacuation
In the event of having to evacuate
the grounds, warning will be given by short blasts on a air horn.
If after the warning, you are asked / told by a
RACE OFFICIAL to evacuate the parks, please do so without question and in a calm
and orderly manner. Make your way to the Main Car Park (unless instructed to go
elsewhere) and be prepared to leave the Park.
Lost Children Lost children found in the hall grounds will be taken to the Results caravan located close to the finish
Changing Due to the start / finish being located in a Park which has no building for changing and as the car park is so close it would assist if you arrive changed or use you car as a changing area. The car park is no more the 200m from the start / finish so there will not be a supervised kit bag storage area. There are no showering facilities.
Toilets The location of the toilets will be in the start finish area
Late Entries Late entries will be accepted until 30 minutes before the start of the race.
The Start The race will start at 11am SHARP.
Drink Stations There will be one drink station on the course and a drink station at the finish..
Drop Out Procedure / First Aid
If for some reason you are unable to complete the run, there will be a system in operation enabling you to drop out and transport will be arranged back to the finish for you if you are unable to make it on your own. Please make your way to the nearest marshal and inform them that you wish to drop out and they will arrange transport. If you require first aid, please let a marshal know and it will be arranged for you.
The Finish The finish offers an excellent view of the hall if you have time to savour it! and is situated by the side of the main hall. It will consist of a double funnel so please follow the steward’s instructions into which funnel you are directed. Changing funnels may lead to your disqualification for the race, or at least you may lose your position in the race. You can only claim your finisher’s memento for the race you have entered. e.g. if you drop out of the 20-Mile and only finish the Nearly Ten you will not receive any memento.
Mementoes Medal for all finishers.
No person to win more than one prize, overall finish position takes precedence over age category
The first three male & female awards will be
presented on the line, age category winner’s awards will be sent onto the
respective recipients.
Results Provisional Results will be displayed ASAP on the day. We aim to have full results posted on our website within 24 hours.
