Thanks to the Rector at the time, we have some record of the early Census statistics for the village, as he recorded the population at the front of one of the Church Record Books.  Thus we get a picture of the village beginning to grow during this part of the 19th Century.

We are also told that in 1821 there were 14 men who worked in Trade, 65 in Agriculture and  5 who had other occupations.
