Club Nights | Court Bookings

Club Nights

Club Nights are held on Monday and Thursday evenings at 1800 commencing 5 April. The format is generally doubles with pairings being organised by the evening's volunteer coordinator. Club balls are provided. The first Monday Club Night of the month is organised by either the Club Chairman or the Club Secretary so if you are new to the club, or wish to find out more about joining this is a good opportunity to meet and be introduced in.

Court Bookings

This replaces the old telephone booking system as the primary means of booking a court. If you do not have access to a computer then you can phone the Club Secretary (Alan Best), number on the membership card.

Bookings can be made not more than 4 days in advance (7 days ahead for summer tournament matches - via phone only).

A bookings can be made in half-hour slots up to a maximum of 2 hours for tournament matches and doubles.

PUBLIC PLAY: On Tuesdays and Thursdays Court 1 is open to the public from dawn to 1700 (public to be clear of courts by 1800). The court is bookable from The Castle Stores on The Green.

UNBOOKED PLAY: Courts may be used by any members if free. Unbooked sessions give way to other unbooked waiting players at the end of the set they are playing (and this should be a short set i.e. first to 6).

CLUB EVENING: Restricted to members.

NON-MEMBERS: Guests may play with Members during booked sessions on payment of a Guest fee of £1 each (payable to any committee member). Guests may play in Club sessions with the prior agreement of the session coordinator.

SHOE TAGS SHALL BE WORN WHENEVER PLAYING to identify club members.

Please lock the courts at the end of play if no other players are taking over the court.
