Club Evenings

Club evenings take place at 1800 on Monday and Friday evenings (weather permitting!) commencing on 4 April. All members with a reasonable proficiency to rally are most welcome to attend. If you are not sure if you fit the standard come along and find out!

American Tournaments

These social tournaments take place on a Sunday afternoon in the summer as detailed in the Club Calendar. They take the form of multiple short mixed doubles matches each with drawn partners. There is a break for tea and cakes (all cakes generously received from participants!), and the event usually lasts from 2.00 until about 5.00.

If you are interested in taking part in any of the programmed events please pass your name to the Tournaments Secretary.

THE INAUGURAL ROWLANDS ROYAL TOURNAMENT
FRIDAY 29 APRIL – SUNDAY 1 MAY

If you haven’t yet signed up – come and celebrate the royal wedding in a fun doubles tournament to be held over the weekend of the royal wedding (29 April -1 May) – the main tournament will be held on the Sunday but if there is demand then we may need to play some matches on the Friday/Saturday. You don’t need to have a partner to play – we will pair you up with someone to get doubles pairs of equal standards.

You will be playing in groups so you will be guaranteed to get a number of matches and then knockout games through to a final – subject to numbers there may also be plate competition.

It’s all meant to be a bit of fun and we are hoping to have a BBQ on the Sunday as well – a good opportunity to meet other members and new players – particularly if you are new to the club. To enter email Robin Thompson
