Edgar A. BORG, died 31st May 1916 at the Battle of Jutland. He was Assistant Canteen Manager on the Armed Cruiser HMS Black Prince. His ship had sustained some damage from a heavy shell during the day, but became separated from other British ships and around midnight came across German battleship Thuringen about 1,000 yards away. The German ship turned her powerful spotlights onto the Black Prince and opened fire with her 12inch guns. Less than a minute after the shells struck there were two massive explosions as the magazines blew up. Every one of the 857 men on board lost their lives

J. BUHAGIAR, died 10th June 1942, aged 55 years. He was a Greaser on RFA Brambleleaf, a Fleet oiler. They had left Alexandria, Egypt, for Tobruk when attacked by a German U-boat off the Egyptian coast. He was one of the two crewmen who died, the other 58 were rescued by the Greek Navy and taken back to Alexandria. The Brambleleaf did not sink, and was later towed back to Alexandria and used as an oil hulk

He served on several ships and was on board HMS Victoria when she was rammed by HMS Camperdown and sank on 22nd June 1893. He was one of the 321 officers and men who lost their lives that day. He is remembered on the Memorial to HMS Victoria in Portsmouth
