OUR VIDEO LISTS

• For those surfers that may have dropped straight into this page, here is a rundown of what we do.
  I
  Most of our video titles are generally popular, but we made this page in the early days as a guaranteed SAFE page, especially for those surfers who were not sure what else we sold. We are very aware that our business name AND the products we sell can easily be misunderstood, but we obstinately refuse to give in to smut!
  Apart from our titles dealing with war, the blitz, etc, all are suitable for children, even if most of them would find them far too boring! There's not many under-30s nowadays that would sit through an hour of Lincolnshire Farming or a selection of Great Yorkshire Towns . . unless forced.

• 1st Heritage Page . . Large selection of heritage titles from around the UK . . Especially good selection on Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and East Anglia. The biggest page . . . takes a few secs to load.

• 2nd Heritage Page . . mostly England, some Scotland, country walks, etc. Kent, Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire; Ghost titles from towns and counties around England

• 3rd Heritage Page . . mostly Garden titles from around the UK; Wisley, Kew, Westonbirt, Chelsea, etc.

• 4th Heritage Page . . Small but growing selection of misc. titles, GPO Film Unit films of the 40's & 50's.

• 5th Heritage Page(s) .. and associated 4 sub-pages .. posted up July 2001. They consist of a list of 40 titles of towns and cities around both England and Wales. They are all made by the same studio, hence the alphabetical arrangement here of the whole set on 4 subsidiary pages, with towns A - C, D - L, M - R, and S -W. From Aberystwyth to Wrexham, Bath to Wolverhampton or Scarborough, these pages are worth a look if you haven't found the town you're looking for already.

• Spirit of England . . contains two volumes of that name, plus other titles of "The National Trust", "English Heritage", etc, plus some on Gardens around Britain, etc.

• Yorkshire Titles . . a special range of lovely titles from a specific Yorkshire Studio, though other titles from around Yorkshire pop up all over our site.

• Northumberland & Durham titles . . from a northern studio "north of Newcastle" . . a superb selection, especially strong on the history of the Borders, border families, castles, etc.

• Wiltshire Titles . . a special range from a specific Wiltshire Studio, 4 titles, including one on falconry.

• Scottish Titles . . a selection of 20+ titles specific to Scotland and north of the border, a lot on industrial heritage, not just of Scotland, but predominantly so : vis; farming, mining, shipbuilding, railway and fishing.

• Irish Titles . . similarly, a small selection of Irish titles, history, heritage, one on Dublin, plus the Ferries of Dublin Bay, etc.

• Welsh Titles . . similarly, a small selection of Welsh titles, history, heritage, of some towns, Cardiff, Swansea, etc. One very good one on mining and Welsh miners.

• Classical Music & Scenery . . Scenes of the Lake District, 9 lovely videos, set to classical symphonies, concertos, by Mozart, Beethoven, Sibelius, Rahkmaninoff, Elgar, etc. Relaxation personified! Send you to sleep, no trouble, such beautiful scenery, and the guy that made these KNOWS how to cut moving film to music. A work of art, each and every one.

• Shipping - Ocean Liners . . a stupendous selection of maritime titles, Great Liners series, trawling & deep-sea fishing, misc titles on nautical matters. There's a set of 22 on the great British shipping lines, a tribute to our legendary mercantile marine, The Red Duster. All in DVD as well.

• Rail & Steam . . a growing selection of train and railway videos; we mainly try to offer those videos that explore and enhance the importance of Britain's industrial rail heritage, thus preserved lines in today's beautiful countryside sit alongside archive films of our smokiest towns and cities in the past.

• Wildlife & Animals . . includes farming and husbandry interests, horses, etc. Plus a set of the JOHNNY KINGDOM wildlife titles from Exmoor, Somerset and North Devon, acclaimed on HTV and in the south-west.

• Tractors & Steam Engines . . historic and preserved farm machinery, steam, threshers, up to modern tractors, rallies and showgrounds, etc, around the UK. A good selection dealing with the history of agriculture from the first days of cine film.

• Some Sample Video Covers . . a growing selection of covers that we've already scanned and used in our pages . . I've put them all on a page for viewing a bit like the shelves in a shop . . I'm not sure it'll help much though. They're okay for loose browsing . . but they do give a reasonable idea of our range.

• Humber Ferry & Hull Fair . . Hull Fair 1997, and "MONARCHS OF THE RIVER HUMBER" made in 1991 ten years after the passing of the Humber Ferry.

• War - Military - Aviation - Naval . . our Military page . . this page IS NOT for CHILDREN . . please use P-C-S . . and if you don't know what P-C-S is, perhaps you've got the wrong website anyway.

• "Blue Bus Tales" . . an obituary . . ! Sadly, these three kiddies stories are no longer available on video. The master tape is worn out. There are a couple of links on this page to some Blue Bus Stories, and to one or two others for children written in a similar vein, like "Fleur's Flower Shop."
