Peter Rigler continues to do well in the Somerset series, winning this 5.7 mile multi terrain event
for the third year running, in 34:26.
An unusual event, in that it is held on a Saturday evening. We were unable to repeat
the team success of 1999, but Peter Rigler came second overall (in his second race
of the day!), leading brother Brett.

Black Rock Beach Race, Woolacombe, 07/07/2000
A motor accident on the course, forcing a detour, could not deny the Blues a clean sweep of the
team prizes at Woolacombe. Without Bristol apprearing this year, Peter Rigler led the senior men's
team to a convincing victory, Helen Parkinson doing likewise in the ladies, while guest competitor
Frankie Baddick was fastest of the junior sextet (Mike and Chris Baddick and Ann Sturtridge also
ran as guests for us)

North Devon Relays, Lovacott, 12/07/2000
The climax of the 9th year of the North Devon Relays, and a pleasant suprise for us.
Minehead's senior men's team was below strength, and could only finish fourth. This meant
our third race win of the summer was enough to claim the overall series title in that
category, to add to those already secured - the vet men, senior ladies, vet ladies
and juniors. North Devon Road Runners claimed the other two age groups - O/50 men & O/55 men

Devon League Track & Field Fixture 3, Exeter, 23/07/2000
A smaller squad than in the two Braunton fixtures, but we returned home with more first places
than ever before in a Devon League. Robin Southcombe claimed a hat trick in the Under 20s, all
in fast times. The two Lukes, Caroll and Evans, each picked up a brace of wins, while others
were spread right throughout the age groups.
