Westward Crosscountry League, St Austell, 15/10/2000

You know winter is on the way when the first cross-country meeting of the season takes place. No race winners on the day, but Lorraine Clements finished as first Over 35 in the ladies race (finishing 4th overall), a position matched by Andrew Ingle in the mens event. Best of the juniors were a pair of 6th places from Kirsty Hamilton and Andrew Wilson.

Devon Sportshall League, Meeting 1 @ Dawlish, 29/10/2000

The first indoor meeting of the winter saw a turnout of 25 Blues youngsters. Dwayne Bowden was the star of the day, picking up a pair of event wins. Kirsty Hamilton was our only other winner on the day, but a host of top six placings augurs well for the season ahead.

Cheddar 10, 29/10/2000

Due to on-the-day problems with the Police not allowing the race to proceed through the town centre, the course was amended - the start being a mile run away from the changing facilities, and the distance of the race being 11.14 miles. Together with exceedingly inclement weather, times held up very well all things considered.

Cornish Blind Association TTC 10, 29/10/2000

An off-road 10-miler, so called because after starting from St Agnes it visits the coves of Trevaunance, Trevalla and Chapel Porth. Jenny Mills continued her excellent run of form to claim first lady.
