Peter J Rigler found this race on a Saturday, coming 27th in 19:08. His offspring competed in the accompanying 1K "fun-run" with success - Luke in second and Kirsty finishing ninth.



Kit Hill Run 5 miles, Callington, 09/06/2002

The Riglers and the McLarens made up the Blues contingent at this event. Peter L Rigler took the honours (running for us), and alongside Alec and Peter J, equalled Tamar Trotters for first team. Luke and Kirsty tackled the fun run again, this time a 2 mile event with Luke winning and his sister in 7th

South West Vets Track & Field Championships, Exeter, 16/06/2002

Only three athletes took part from our club this year, but returned home with an incredible haul of seven gold medals and one silver. Coxy let the side down by claiming the silver !

With four wins of the five categories we entered, this night was as successful as any other so far this year. Only the senior men were unable to take first place, heing headed by strong Minehead and NDRR squads.

South West Inter Counties Track & Field, Exeter, 22/06/2002

Peter Hockin was selected for the senior Devon team over 3000m, and won the South West Inter-Counties title with a time of 8:57.5, a new club O/40 record.

Torbay Half Marathon, Torbay, 30/06/2002

The last of the big spring half marathon series, which managed to attract 700 runners despite clashing with the World Cup Final. Peter's third place and first in class meant he finished second in the overall standings to Cornwall AC's Ronnie James, while Vicky returned from some excellent duathlon performances to take first lady honours on the day.
