Brixham 10K, Brixham, 06/10/2002
Best run of the Blues in this event has to be Helen's - coming inside the top ten overall and taking first lady honours. Husband Jon narrowly missed making it a family double - just finding one man too good for him, while Alec picked up first vet

Westward League Cross Country, Redruth, 13/10/2002
The weather for the first cross-country of this season reminded us of that of the last meeting of last season. A good day for Blues, especially if your initials were "KH" as both Kevin Heywood and Kirsty Hamilton ran superbly to win easily.

North Devon 10K, South Molton, 13/10/2002
Another clash with the first Westward League cross country did not dilute either the quality or quantity of Blues challenge at South Molton, as we claimed team title for both men and ladies.

Stroud Half Marathon, Stroud, 27/10/2002
A huge event - nearly 1200 finishers with three Kenyans and a Russian in the top four. Blues not far behind though - Mike in 12th, and Vicky running excellently after the World Duathlon to claim first lady prize, with Maddy also having an excellent outing.

Devon Sports Hall League, Dawlish, 27/10/2002
The first meeting of the new season saw terrible weather meaning loads of young athletes, not just from our club, being unable to travel. The three who did get to Dawlish excelled, especially Matthew who picked up a pair of first places.

Adidas Dublin Marathon, Dublin, 28/10/2002
A large party of Blues crossed the Irish Sea for a weekend of Guinness, and, oh yeah, a 26 mile race in between. No suprises that Peter led our group home inside the top 50, Alec also running well and Jim frustratingly just missing the magic 3 hour mark for the second straight marathon.
