Kirsty Hamilton and Andrew Ingle competed in one of the well-organised BMC meetings, where all the races are organised to try to drag runners to a fast time with quality pacemakers. Kirsty ran the "E" race for ladies over 800m and produced a major improvement to a new club record of 2:16.99 finishing in second place. Andrew competed in the "B" men's 1500m and set a season's best of 3:50.70 in fifth place. Kirsty's time now ranks her tenth in the country.

the usual Braunton cooling breeze being a welcome relief. Small fields were

Round-the-Houses, Appledore, 14/08/2003
A welcome return to the calendar for the twice-round Appledore race, with a low-key race due to the short notice meaning most of the runners were BAAC representatives. Andrew Ingle got the better of Peter Hockin and Ricky Butler towards the end of the first lap, and that's how they stayed. In the ladies race, there was a huge ovation for the winner Jenny Cockwill, leading home Lois and Sue.
