Architectural Scale

This 7.5 metre tall ‘Green Knight’ has foliated armour hand-beaten in copper and built on two large oak trees. 
Living ivy planted in irrigated internal planting places bursts through the chinks of his armour making him truly a green knight.  

In time the copper will take on the soft green of verdigris, producing a wonderful backdrop to the rich, deep green of the ivy.  The figure, built in 1998 for a private estate in the Yorkshire Dales also has nesting boxes and a bat roost designed into the figure.

LIFE-SIZED COPPER CREATURES:  The Dragonfly is available mounted on a slender wire and is designed to be set over a garden pond. It can be animated by water falling from a small fountain or waterfall so that its wings quiver as though in hovering flight. 
Richard also produces a butterfly; the Large Copper, a species driven to extinction in Britain by the capricious hand of man.  The Honey Bee is the smallest piece available and perhaps not surprisingly is popular with bee keepers.
