| Behind the War Memorial, to the right, are the Almshouses, built in 1868 by Countess Vane, who was later to become Marchioness of Londonderry. I think they are a private residence now. To the left is a building which started life as an Infants School in 1852, later became a hospital, and is now also a private house. |
