| I never saw this ancient stone before the modern bungalows were built all around it, and can't help wondering what it must have looked like in its "original" setting - whatever that was. In a wide open field with an unobstructed line to the heavens? In a clearing in the woods? What stories can it tell? Who placed it there, when, and why? |
