Dear Lizzie Ann, David, JM & Lona
We take the pleasure of writing these few lines to you hoping that they find you all quite well as it leaves us all at present. Dear Lizzie Ann, so glad to have a letter from you and to see that the dear children are alright. Hoping to have their company very soon. There is not much news this time. Our Preacher today a young man, a Mr Evans. He is a very good one. His text was 13th chapter of John, 5 & 15th verses showing forth the example which our Saviour gave the disciples of washing one anothers feet. I have given you this example that ye should wash one anothers feet: and this humility is a very safe thing to help us through life. May the grace of God help you and me to do this daily.
Our School was 96 in number. Frances is getting on very well with her singing class at a quarter past one on Sunday. It will prove a great help to learn the little children to sing our beautiful Hymns from Sankeys Book. We are looking forward to your coming home. Tell the children about us. So I have not much news to tell you this time. We have had a letter from Johnny.
With our very best love to you all.
From dear Father & Mother, Frances.
XXX children.
